  • Root to Rise is for anyone craving space, beauty, depth, nourishment, and meaningful connection. Whether you practise yoga regularly or are completely new, you are welcome. You don’t need to be flexible or experienced — just open to slowing down and arriving as you are.

  • Not at all. All practices will be guided with options and modifications. You will be supported to move in a way that feels good for your body. Rest is always welcome.

  • 2–8 November (7 days / 6 nights). Guests typically arrive on the first day and depart on the final day, however depending on your flights, arriving the day before may be the best option. If you wish to extend your stay in South Africa before or after the retreat, Maz can offer recommendations.

  • The retreat takes place in South Africa’s Western Cape across two locations:

    • Planet Xancara (wilderness immersion)
    • A luxury “Secret Escape” location for the final phase in Cape Town

  • Yes. Shared accommodation is part of the retreat experience.

    At Planet Xancara, accommodation is shared for all guests. This is intentional and supports a grounded, community-led beginning to the journey.

  • Yes — single occupancy is available during the final two nights at the Secret Escape only (limited availability).

    £1,995 per person sharing
    £2,250 single occupancy (final 3 nights only)

  • Absolutely. Many guests attend solo. Room sharing is thoughtfully arranged and the retreat is designed to feel welcoming, safe, and community-led. Most guests arrive as strangers and leave feeling deeply connected.

  • To secure your place, a £150 non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking.

    This allows you to confirm your spot and book flights early with confidence.

  • We have intentionally kept the deposit accessible to allow guests to secure their place sooner rather than later — particularly as international flights are often best booked early.

  • The remaining balance is due 60 days prior to arrival (2 September). You will receive a reminder closer to the time.

    The remaining balance can be paid:

    • In full
    • Or via instalments leading up to the 60-day deadline

  • Yes. Travel insurance is essential and must include medical coverage.

  • A full packing list will be sent after booking. In general:

    • Comfortable yoga clothing (layers for cooler mornings/evenings)

    • Walking shoes

    • Light jacket

    • Swimwear

    • Sun protection

    • Refillable water bottle

    • Personal medication
